Outpatient Addiction Treatment in Kansas

Beyond ending substance abuse, our aftercare treatment programs focus on helping you create a meaningful life through ongoing therapy, case management, and a thriving alumni network to build resilience and find lasting wellness.

What is Outpatient Addiction Treatment?

Outpatient addiction treatment is a flexible and personalized approach to recovery designed for individuals who do not require 24-hour supervision but still need structured support.

These allow clients to continue with their daily responsibilities, such as work, school, or family, while receiving comprehensive care tailored to their unique recovery needs. Through individual counseling, group therapy, and case management, clients develop coping strategies, build resilience, and address underlying issues related to their addiction.

A key component of outpatient treatment at Avalon is the active involvement in peer-led recovery groups and an engaged alumni network. These connections foster lasting community support essential for long-term wellness. This ongoing engagement helps clients reinforce healthy habits, stay connected to their recovery peers, and manage challenges and triggers.

Flexible Outpatient Programs for Healing & Growth

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers structured, comprehensive treatment while allowing you the freedom to maintain your daily responsibilities. With a focus on skill-building, relapse prevention, and emotional support, our IOP provides a powerful combination of group therapy, individual counseling, and integrated wellness.

Designed for those needing more support than traditional outpatient care, IOP meets 3 to 4 days a week for 3 hours at a time.

Outpatient Therapy

Our outpatient therapy program is a core part of long-term addiction recovery and aftercare. After completing residential or intensive outpatient, ongoing therapy sessions help you maintain sobriety, integrate coping skills, and prevent relapse. Our experienced clinicians provide personalized individual, group, and family therapy tailored to your journey.

Designed for flexible, long-term care, outpatient treatment sessions usually meet one to two times a week in the form of individual counseling sessions or group therapy, such as NA or AA.
